TUITION

  • Tuition for private lessons is charged on a monthly basis. Invoices will be sent out via email at the end of each month. Payment is due on or before the 10th of the next month.

  • A $25 fee will be charged for returned checks.

  • Method and Theory books will be provided by the teacher and the cost billed to the parent’s account.

  • Tuition rate increase: January 1 of every year

 

ATTENDANCE

Any missed lesson(s) will be charged at the full rate unless advanced notice is given at least 24 hours prior to the lesson time.  

RECITALS

Students have the opportunity to perform in annual recitals. See the Recitals page for more details.

 

EXAMS

Piano Practical and Theory Exams are available through the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program. Please visit https://www.rcmusic.com/ for more info. If your child is interested in taking an exam, please let me know and we will work on a lesson plan. Exam dates are listed here.

 

STUDIO HOLIDAYS

New Year’s Day (January 1)

Memorial Day (last Monday of May)

Independence Day (July 4)

Labor Day (first Monday of September)

Thanksgiving Weekend (4th Thursday - Sunday of November)

Winter Break: Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day (December 24 - January 1)

 

Agreement

By becoming a student of Shieh Percussion Studio, the student hereby agrees to all of the policies put forth in this agreement as well as any changes made to the policy. Shieh Percussion Studio retains the right to terminate lessons with any student or guardian of student who displays inappropriate behavior or who fails to respect studio policy.
